Proceeds from the Groves Gala support Groves Academy and Groves Literacy Partnerships as we work to provide tuition assistance for our students and help to close the literacy gap with our partner schools.

Event Details:

Registration and Reception: Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for drinks, hors d’ouevres, silent auction, punchboard games, and photo opportunity.

Dinner, Program, Dessert: We’ll enter the ballroom at 7:30 p.m. for a seated dinner, program including a Heads and Tails game, live auction, inspiring speakers, and fund the future challenge!

Sponsors and their guests are invited to join the VIP Reception from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Menu

Salad: Artisan Greens with fresh strawberries, goat cheese, candied pecans, and red wine vinaigrette.

Entrée: Duet Plate of seared salmon with lemon cream sauce, citrus-brined chicken with leek sauce accompanied with tri-colored carrots and roasted potatoes.

*Vegetarian/Vegan Option: Roasted Cauliflower Steak with quinoa, edamame, and chimichurri. (please reach out to Becky to make this request)

Dessert: Flourless Chocolate Cake with cocoa espresso sauce and fresh raspberries or Lemon Cake with raspberry cream sauce and fresh raspberries

Christie King

Christie King, president of C King Benefit Auctions, has been a well respected presence in the auction industry for over 30 years. Her passion for helping nonprofit organizations raise funds for their missions is the reason she founded her company. She is one of only 200 professional fundraisers to hold the Benefit Auctioneer Specialist designation through the National Auctioneers Association. Of her many accomplishments, Christie is most proud of being inducted into the National Auctioneers Associations’ Hall of Fame. She also has the distinction of being elected the first female president of both the National Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers Foundation.
